Traumastem FAM Trium
Sterile fibrous resorbable haemostat
Traumastem FAM Trium is sterile, fibrous, resorbable haemostatic medical device. It is made from pure, natural cotton using controlled oxidation technology. As the structure of Trium is sufficiently strong, it can be sutured or cut when applied. Traumastem FAM Trium provides a fast and effective local haemostasis, usually within 2 minutes; however, the time needed to achieve haemostasis depends on the type of operation and the intensity of bleeding. The product minimizes perioperative and early postoperative blood losses and complications, has significant antimicrobial effects, helps accelerate biochemical processes, and supports the healing process. It is atraumatic and 100% resorbable in the body within 6-8 days from application without any side effects. Although the textile is fully resorbable, it is always the physician’s responsibility to decide whether or not to leave the textile at the site of application.
Traumastem FAM not only exhibits in vitro antimicrobial effects against the microorganisms below (tested per USP, Chap. 51), but also meets the requirement for in vitro bactericidal effect on all tested microorganisms:

| Indication: | Traumastem FAM Trium is used as an adjunct to stop capillary, venous, small arterial bleeding, and also to prevent early postoperative bleeding. It can be used in all areas of stopping diffuse haemorrhage from resection surfaces such as parenchymatous organs, muscles or defined body cavities, on uneven or poorly accessible surface of the wound. It can be used for a wide variety of actions – wrapping, layering, covering or filling cavities. The wide scope of application allows the use for classical, laparoscopic, robotic surgery and endoscopic treatments. Traumastem FAM Trium is made from multilayer nonwoven fabric. Its structure allows the surgeon to separate a layer of any thickness very easily and precisely and adjust it easily to the application size and thickness needed, which makes it ideal especially for neurosurgical applications. Other applications include orthopaedics, cardiovascular surgery, haemorrhoidectomy, vascular graft implantation, biopsy, operations of lungs and other parenchymatous organs, gastric resections, liver and gall bladder operations, gynaecologic operations, thyroid and many other operations. |
